It is played between two teams, each consisting of seven players. The main goal of the game is for an offensive player, known as the “raider,” to dash into the opponent’s side of the court. The raider must tag as many defenders as possible and then safely return to their own half, all while holding their breath and chanting “Kabaddi.” If the raider successfully tags opponents and returns, their team earns points for each tagged player. Conversely, the defending team scores a point if they manage to stop the raider. Players who are tagged or tackled are temporarily out but can rejoin the game each time their team scores a point from a tag or tackle.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1475579916536{padding-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”1981″ img_size=”400″ alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” css=”” link=”https://canadakabaddi.com/index.php/membership/”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” parallax=”content-moving” css=”.vc_custom_1751041174696{padding-top: 80px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1475579908970{padding-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]

Object of the Game

The overall object of the game is to simply score more points than the opposition team within the allotted time. Kabaddi is a dynamic seven-a-side sport. In this game, a player, known as the raider, from one team chants “Kabaddi…Kabaddi…Kabaddi” and enters the opposing team’s half. The raider’s objective is to tag at least one opponent and then return safely to their own half.

Meanwhile, all seven players on the opposing team attempt to prevent the raider from returning safely. They do this by trying to grab and restrain the raider until they stop chanting or run out of breath. If the raider successfully tags an opponent and returns to their half safely, not only is the tagged player out, but the raider can also revive a previously out teammate from their own side. This strategic element adds an exciting dimension to the game of Kabaddi.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” parallax=”content-moving” css=”.vc_custom_1751123259448{padding-top: 80px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;border-color: #e7e7e7 !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1475579908970{padding-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””] About Kabaddi Kabaddi is an exhilarating contact team sport gaining popularity in Canada.
